Signing In

Your system administrator will provide you with a user name and password to use when signing in to EPIM from your organization’s unique Web address. Your organization has already determined and set password rules to meet its requirements for password security. The rules for your organization may require you to create a new password the first time you sign in. If so, the new password will replace the default password that your organization will give you initially.

To sign into EthicsPoint (single domain), navigate to your organizations EthicsPoint sign-in page, enter your user name and password, and click Sign In.

Sign-In Challenge Question

Your organization may require you to answer a challenge question. If your organization has turned on this feature, you will have the opportunity to set up your personal challenge question and answer the first time you sign in. Each time you sign in or reset your password, you may be required to answer the question correctly before the system allows you to access it. You can change your question and answer at any time by going to My Profile.

To change your challenge question or answer, click your user name in the upper right corner of the application, and select MyProfile. When the My Profile page opens, click Change Challenge Question and follow the steps to complete this task.

Password

Your organization may have turned on some of the following password rules. Talk to your system administrator to learn what password rules are in place. These may include:

  • Force change: When a system administrator changes your password, you will need to create a new password the next time you sign in.
  • Complexity level: Your password may need to include an uppercase and lowercase letter as well as a number, or it may need to include just a letter and a number.
  • Minimum number of characters: Your password may need to be a minimum length. The maximum length for passwords is 25 characters.
  • Maximum age of password: You may need to change your password after a set number of days.
  • Number of unique passwords required before reuse: You may need to use a set number of unique passwords before you can repeat a password.
  • Minimum age of password required before reuse: You may need to wait a set number of days before you can repeat a password.

Too Many Failed Sign-In Attempts

To ensure the security of the system, you are allowed a limited number of consecutive, failed attempts to sign in to the system before your account is locked. The actual number of attempts is determined by the system administrator of your organization. This prevents unauthorized users from gaining access to your account by guessing your password through repeated attempts to sign in.

If you exceed the allowed number of failed sign-in attempts, you will receive an email message informing you that your account is locked. Immediately contact your system administrator to request that the administrator restore your online access and change your password. The next time you sign in, you must use the correct password or the system will lock your account again.
